Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Thursday night Payton's school had a little party at Barnes and Noble. The boys got to make reindeer candy canes and visit with Santa.
Friday night was our ward Christmas party. The boys got to see Santa again. Cole thinks Santa is his new best friend and keeps asking to go back to the book store or church to see Santa.
Cole's wish list: Indiana Jones Whip
Payton's wish list: Star Wars Toys, Wii games, Martian Maker... and on and on.

Christmas Lights

Our family loves to go look at Christmas lights. Our favorite bright spot is in my cousins neighborhood. Every house is decorated with different cartoon characters. We bundled the kids up in warm clothes and wandered the street.

The kids were so excited to have the Sundell's come with us. Cole told Santa what he wanted for Christmas.
Merry Christmas!

Hospital Stay

I guess we haven't spent enough time at hospitals this year. Cole had another breathing problem. He had been sick for a few days and was having his breathing treatments. December 1st, he started having trouble breathing so I took into the doctor and they immediately admitted him to the hospital. Luckily, he wasn't quite as bad as last March. He only had to stay three days. We were so happy that Mandy and Greg were staying with us. They helped take care of Payton while Brian went to work and I stayed with Cole.
My poor little guy. He was so brave. All the nurses and doctors were so good to him. They made sure he had plenty of Popsicles and stickers and little toys to help distract him.
He is doing so much better now. We just have to continue giving him breathing treatments everyday until summer.

Drivers Wanted

This weekend Payton was invited to a birthday party at Mini Gran Prix. We all went and had lots of fun. Cole was too little to drive or ride in the go-carts. Luckily there were a couple rides just his size.
Payton had a blast driving the cars...

riding the dragon roller coaster...

and riding with Dad on the fast track.

Candy Lovers

We have some sugar addicts at our house. The Halloween candy only lasted a week. Candy is such a great incentive I just keep buying more.

Trick or Treat

This year at our trunk or treat, Brian had to help make scones. That left me and the boy to do the candy thing. We started out with some picture taking...
Storm Trooper and Peter Pan...

with their friends...human torch...

Indiana Jones...
and Anikan Skywalker.

Then it was time to go out for candy. Cole's first treat was a sucker. Suckers are his very favorite. It didn't even make it into the bag. He was so sticky the rest of the night.

After one trip around the parking lot the boys were done and just wanted to play with their friends on the grass. Payton and his friends spent the rest of the night playing with the weapons that went with their costumes, while Cole and Elise pretended to be cats and dogs.

The night was a success! The boys had fun and got lots of candy.

Power Tools

In our family Brian is the official pumpkin carver. This year he decided to make it more manly so he broke out the power saw. He went with three different designs. Mickey Mouse for Cole, Darth Vader for Payton and a traditional Jack-O-Lantern for me. Cole was not pleased with the noise of the saw, "too loud, Mom!"
Payton was not thrilled with his assignment of digging out pumpkin guts.
Oh Yuck!
The pumpkins looked great. We were in such a rush to get to Trunk or Treat that I forgot to get a picture of all Brian's carvings. Oops Sorry!
