Halloween Carnival

Payton's school had a fun Halloween carnival this weekend. They had games, a costume parade and dancing for the kids. Payton had mixed emotions for the carnival. He was really excited to go but was upset about a no mask rule. The costume he picked had a mask and didn't want to wear the costume without the mask. A few hours before the carnival he decided to dress up like Ron Weasley from Harry Potter. He thought it would be easy because, "I already have red hair, mom. I just need his clothes." How can you argue with that. So four stores later here is his Ron costume that he only wanted for one night. I am such a sucker.
Here is Cole as Peter Pan.

Payton and his friends learning the Electric Slide.

The boys can't wait to go trick or treating.
All Cole can talk about his getting LOTS of CANDY for Halloween.

Fishing Fun

Saturday morning, Brian took the boys to a local pond to go fishing. They thought it was so cool. Cole has a Scooby Doo fishing pole and yes, Payton has a Star Wars fishing pole. They saw lots of fish in the water but had no luck in catching any. I think the boys enjoyed the drinks and donuts from the gas station the best!

The Pumpkin Patch

It finally felt like fall in Las Vegas this morning. Our little family went to pick pumpkins and other yummy fruits and veggies at a local orchard. Cole and Payton had so much fun tromping through the dirt to find the best pumpkin.

A Post for Brian

Brian has been planning a hunting trip with his Dad and brother, Greg for months. Everyday after work he would come home, change his clothes and go straight to the backyard for target practice. He spent weeks checking and packing his equipment. Finally, the time had come! He was like a kid on Christmas morning! So excited! Opening morning of the hunt he shot his antelope.

A few days later Greg shot his antelope. They all had an awesome time and a successful hunt. Now Mandy and I have some wonderful home decor and a freezer full of dead antelope. Yum, anybody want to come over for dinner?

Two Times the Fun

Cole officially turned two while we were in Idaho.
We couldn't resist having another party to celebrate the big occasion.
All he really wanted was eat at McDonald's and have a cars cake.

He got a big kick of blowing out his candles!
It was lots of fun to have his birthday parties with Grandmas and Grandpas, cousins and Aunts and Uncles!

Hansen Playground

While we visiting Grandma Hardy in Idaho, we got to help feed of Greg and Mandy's dogs. There is a brand new playground across the street from their house. So Grandma took care of the dogs and the boys had fun swinging and sliding. Payton even made it all the way across the monkey bars!

Another Trip to Dinosaur Park

Every time we go to Ogden the boys love to visit Dinosaur Park. Cole was a little frightened by the dinosaur growls. Payton was being such a cute big brother; he kept giving him hugs and telling Cole it would be o.k.
Cole had fun digging for dinosaur bones.

The park was decorated for Halloween. We couldn't go to the inside museum because those decorations were "too scary" for Payton.
We had a great afternoon playing at Dinosaur Park.

"My Hars Party"

Translation: My Cars Party. Cole just celebrated his second birthday. He was so excited to have a party with cake and presents. All he could talk about was having a "hars party". Luckily, Brian was hunting with his Dad and Greg in Wyoming so the boys and I got to go visit family. We had one party in Ogden and another in Idaho.
Cole had a blast opening presents after Payton showed him how.
Cole was thrilled with his Cars birthday cake.
Payton begged for the tire piece of cake.
Happy Birthday, Cole!
